The HUADA 12kV Ring Main Unit (RMU) is a compact medium-voltage switchgear solution designed for reliable power distribution, transformer protection and fault isolation. It is suitable for utility networks, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, residential developments, infrastructure projects and renewable-energy systems.
The RMU connects incoming and outgoing feeders within a ring distribution network. If a cable section develops a fault or requires maintenance, the affected section can be isolated while healthy sections may continue receiving power from another direction. This helps reduce the affected area and improve continuity of supply.
HUADA RMUs are available in configurations such as 2L, 2L1F and 2L1V. Depending on the project requirements, they can incorporate load-break switches, vacuum circuit breakers and transformer protection units. Insulation options include SF₆ gas-insulated and solid-insulated designs, while manual or motorized operating mechanisms are available.
The equipment has a rated voltage of 12kV and supports rated currents up to 630A or 1250A, with short-circuit withstand capability up to 31.5kA. Its metal-enclosed and modular construction provides a compact footprint, dependable mechanical interlocking and convenient installation. Remote monitoring and control can also be integrated for smart-grid and distribution-automation applications.
Manufactured in accordance with the IEC 62271 series, the HUADA RMU is engineered to deliver operational safety, stable performance and long service life.
